Answers to Frequently Asked Questions
Ordinarily we meet together online or if in the area in person. Personally I script your ceremony until you are satisfied. You may contribute and add to it in any way using your own thoughts, beliefs and what is meaningful to you. Writing your ceremony is extremely important to me and unique to what is offered. We will go over the elements of ceremony, readings, music, vows, rings, rose or unity candle ceremony-in-ceremony. Final re-writing should be completed prior to fourteen days of the wedding.
If you choose a rehearsal, we will strive to make sure everyone is confident and comfortable with the process. Inviting your photographer to the rehearsal is an excellent way to meet or meet once again so that he is introduced to the group and familiar with the location and your wishes.
Premarital Counseling is required for Florida residents who do not wish to wait the necessary three days for their ceremony. It is not mandatory for anyone out of state or out of country. It is a beneficial option to anyone but not required unless, you are a Florida Resident and do not want to wait the three day period after applying for your marriage license.
You may choose any location for your wedding, indoors or outdoors. In Florida, the beach is most beautiful at sunrise and sunset. The beach is more private and the main heat of the day is usually past. We perform weddings from sunrise to sunset. We have some locations use often that are beautiful and available at no charge. If you chose a waterfront gazebo you have the added benefit of being under cover in the rare chance that there is rain. The gazebos we use are rented by us from the city for you. We also perform weddings in resorts, parks, hotels, private residences, golf courses and restaurants (usually with ornate gardens). Simple yet elegant weddings at reasonable cost ($249) also take place at our lakeside residence through the week. We can help you decide which is best for you.
A retainer is required with the balance paid prior to 48 hours of the wedding.
If you are having a larger wedding and wish a coordinator for your wedding day to help things run smoothly, we can arrange one for you. Coordinators can be hired without purchasing a wedding package from us.
Out of town and international weddings are welcome with a charge for travel expenses.
For outdoor weddings we carry a portable player with us and bring music on CD's. You can also bring your favorite music to be played for any part of the ceremony and especially at the end when celebrating photographs are being taken. We can also recommend DJ's, violinist, chello, trumpet, harpists and vocals.
On your wedding day, I will arrive just prior to the ceremony to go over last minute details and make sure you are comfortable. If you wish myself and the photographer to stay for the reception/dinner, please ask before the wedding day so that we can schedule the necessary time.
